From the supplier: Most law professors were opposed to the impeachment of President Clinton, revealing in the process a style of reasoning that diverges from their usual theoretical approaches. For example, law professors who ordinarily reject originalism as a theory of constitutional interpretation became originalists when writing about impeachment. The analysis suggests that originalism predominates among the public, while the taste for novelty underlies many academic theories.
